For Sale!

I'm selling my iPod nano (8GB black) if anyone is interested. I hardly used it - it's practically new and I still have the case it came in and everything it came with (stickers, directions/info, USB cord, headphones, and adapter/stand for iPod dock or computer). I also have a hard, clear Body Glove case I'll include with it. I'd like to sell it for $100 obo. Let me know if you're interested. My email is you05013@byui.edu or you can leave a comment and I'll contact you. Also, my number is 2083514815.

Books, Books, Books

I just have to write a post and say how good this book was! I finished reading it (Oracles of Delphi Keep by Victoria Laurie) last week, but I find myself thinking about it and can't wait to read the other five books (too bad they aren't already out). The next book Curse of the Deadman's Forest doesn't come out till May 2010. I don't know if I can wait that long. Anyway, if you have the time, I recommend reading this book. I very much enjoyed it.

I'm so excited for August 25 and September 1! Why? Because two more really good books come out those days. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead comes out on August 25. It is the fourth book of the Vampire Academy series. I know what you're thinking - more vampire books? I agree, there are so many authors writing and selling novels about vampires it seems like since the big Twilight outbreak. Though these aren't as good as Twilight, in my opinion, I still very much enjoyed them. I can't wait to see what happens between Rose and Dimitri!

And on September 1, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins comes outs! It is the sequel to The Hunger Games. And if you haven't read this book yet, you are totally and I mean TOTALLY missing out!!! I absolutely loved this novel. It is a must read! And no, it has nothing to do with vampires, but there is a love story besides all the suspense. :)

Currently, I'm reading a trilogy by Libba Bray that includes, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing. I finished the first book yesterday and I'm looking forward to starting the second today. I'm going to hurry and read them before Blood Promise comes out next Monday. If you have the chance to read any of these books, let me know what you think.

The Past Month - Part 1

Becca came out to visit me on July 14 and planned on staying for two weeks. Those two weeks flew by. The day before her flight home, we decided she should stay longer since she didn't have any immediate responsibilities that she needed to get home to. So she called the airline and they told her if she delayed her flight one week it would cost $140, but if she delayed it two weeks, it would only cost $5. I'm sure you can guess which option we picked! I was so excited for her to stay longer, although I don't know where those last two weeks went either. It was so good to have her here. We had some fun times, even when we just sat at my apartment when it was pouring outside. I miss her already and I know Mya does too. We ask Mya, "Where's Becca?! Go get Becca." And she jumps up from her heating pad on the couch to look around the apartment for Becca. It's funny. Even Blake admitted that he was sad for her to leave. It's so fun having Becca visit. I wish we would have had a car (Blake uses our car to tech) to see more of the Kentucky sites and all that. I'm so looking forward to going back to Idaho in three weeks when the office closes. I can't wait to see my family and friends, and for them to see Mya again. Blake will be coming home this time, rather than staying for the extended season. I'm happy about that. It was rough being apart for two months last year. I can't wait to move into our new apartment and move our stuff out of the storage unit we've been renting, especially my bookcase and books. We'll probably have to buy another bookcase with all the new books I've purchased and read this summer! I'm not looking forward to school starting the second week of September though. I still want to experience a little more "Idaho summertime" with my family before going back to a busy, hectic school schedule. My family is planning on going camping August 28 for Mari's birthday and Blake and I won't be there. :( It would have been fun to take Mya camping for the first time. Anyway, enjoy a portion of the many pictures from Becca's first time in Kentucky.
The Girls: Dana, me, Becca, Beckie

The Guys: Garrett, Davey, Blake, Rob, Brent

One of my favorite icecreams - and I love icecream!!

Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom wave pool - we've had some good times (and scary ones) there!

Fortunately, Becca was out here the same time as my 22nd birthday. We celebrated at PF Changs, one of my new favorites (I've only been there twice). I love the orange peel chicken and the lettuce wraps! MMMMM!!!

And Blake was happy to get his calamari. I won't eat calamari; it grosses me out too much, even though sometimes they look like onion rings (and I love those!). Surprisingly, Becca tried the calamari and liked it.

Well I still have a ton of pictures I want to post, but this one is getting pretty lengthy. I'll post the rest later. Until then...
